Abstract: | Syllabus of a course I taught for many years at UCLouvain to first year math/phys students. The first two chapters deal with linear systems leading to the theory of normal modes of vibration. The last three chapters are devoted to Newtonian mechanics and the Galilean principle of relativity. |
