Abstract:	This is an annotation manual describing the Machine Translation Post-Editing Annotation System (MTPEAS) developed by Marie-Aude Lefer, Justine Piette and Romane Bodart (Louvain School of Translation and Interpreting, UCLouvain) within the framework of the POST-EDIT ME! project funded by UCLouvain's Educational Development Fund (2021-2023). The MTPEAS taxonomy aims to support machine translation post-editing (MTPE) quality assessment in translator education. The taxonomy contains seven categories of edit: value-adding edits, successful edits, unnecessary edits, incomplete edits, error-introducing edits, unsuccessful edits and missing edits. All categories are defined and illustrated in the manual.
