| Abstract: | These few pages summarize a part of a doctoral thesis dedicated to the architect Roger Bastin (1913-1986). Its architecture has often been referred to as “regionalist” long before Kenneth Frampton attached the adjective “critical” to it. A review of the main Belgian architectural journals between 1918 and 1980 has shed light on the varied meanings of this concept. The reader will consult the attached corpus for a more precise study. |
