Abstract

After a brief introduction about the climate mitigation pathways the EU and Belgium are engaged in, Jerome Meessen will present the current motivations of companies taking initiative to decarbonize their value chains and the methods they use to do so, all building on carbon accounting. Last, Jerome will highlight challenges, fears and signs of hope raising from these initiatives, without forgetting the role of engineers in a successful energy transition.
